13 Million Data Points: What the World Is Measuring
2.6 million survey responses. Over 13 million standardized indicator results. We dug into the data behind the Global Indicator Library.
A few things stood out:
→ The average survey now triggers 5 indicators at once. One submission, multiple comparable measurements across service levels, water quality, functionality, and SDG reporting.
→ Water point functional status alone accounts for 1.2M+ results. E. coli compliance, service levels, and accessibility are right behind it.
→ That concentration tells two stories. Water measurement has reached real maturity. Other sectors have a long way to go.
That's where https://solstice.world and https://juno.earth come in.
Organizations like World Vision and Medair are already using shared indicators as internal KPIs, aggregating program performance across countries without reinventing definitions each time.
