New Data Deep Dive: Household Sanitation under SDG 6.2.

Almost 260,000 data points classified using the JMP service ladder from Open Defecation through to Safely Managed. The console breaks down the three components that determine a household's service level: whether the facility is improved, whether it's shared, and how waste is managed.

One thing that stands out: the gap between Basic and Safely Managed is largely a waste management gap. A lot of households have improved, non-shared facilities, but don't yet have safe treatment or disposal of excreta.
