Emily Matos Kauer

Emily's passion for connecting people to the impact of child-focused development stems from 15 years of global service, with a primary focus on Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and East Africa. She started her philanthropy career as a fundraiser for WASH with charity: water. She continued her WASH career with a nearly a decade with World Vision US as a communications officer, linking donors to the work they have invested in, and as a program manager, directly connected to the field by planning, implementing, and monitoring high-impact programs. She recently completed a tenure with World Vision International as a Knowledge Management Advisor.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami and a Masters in Global Affairs from New York University. She is a native New Yorker with Puerto Rican roots. She currently lives in Luzern, Switzerland with her husband and her twin daughters. Through her family and life experiences, she speaks several languages, including English, Spanish and German. Emily loves dancing (she was a Bollywood dance teacher), traveling, and cooking (especially anything gluten free).
