mWater at AI for Good 2026

This week, mWater is in Geneva for the AI for Good Global Summit at Palexpo (7–10 July) — the United Nations’ flagship AI event, organized by the ITU and co-convened with the Government of Switzerland.

Why we’re here

For 14 years, mWater has worked to democratize data for the public servants who deliver water, sanitation, and health services in low- and middle-income countries. Our free and open-access platform — a recognized digital public good — is used in 198 countries by over 7,000 organizations and holds the world’s largest water database: more than 6.7 million mapped sites and 46 million survey responses.

AI is a multiplier on operational maturity. Organizations that professionalize their data operations will pull ahead fast; those that don’t risk falling behind. In our sector, that gap is measured in outages, contamination events, and human lives.

What we’re bringing to Geneva

An AI-native front door. Our MCP server lets anyone connect their preferred AI assistant — Claude, ChatGPT, or any agentic tool — directly to mWater. Users are already running national-level data cleaning, accountability audits, duplicate detection, and report creation. Every AI-proposed change to data is reviewed and approved by a human before it becomes real.

AI for accessibility. AI-powered localization of our interface, auto-translation of surveys, and AI-boosted dashboard design that lets a district officer build the view they need without being a data expert.

Horizon. Our newest free app makes satellite data and world-class weather models actionable for everyone — flood risk, heavy-rain awareness levels, and a live satellite storm view for the majority of the world without weather radar. Try it at horizonapp.org.

We’re attending the summit all week. If you’d like to talk about data-driven management, digital public goods, or what agentic AI means for public services, write to info@mwater.co or reach us on WhatsApp and LinkedIn — we’d be glad to meet.
